Hey! I'm Nick Kadun and I have the privilege of working with churches and church leaders as they seek to establish innovative localized expressions of the gospel. I love assisting the body of Christ to find fresh new ways for the good news of Jesus to advance amongst least-accessed pockets of society.

Prior to joining the reKindle team I served as a local church pastor for 10 years, overseeing a variety of ministries and staff teams and including the planting and pastoring of a campus aimed at reaching young adults and young families. Prior to my time in ministry I travelled Canada with the Ontario-based organization now known as Live Different, speaking to youth on cultural issues such a personal identity, substance abuse and social justice and compassion.

On a more personal note, as an avid drummer and lover of music, I find much joy in writing, recording and performing live music in a variety of settings. A highlight of this personal hobby was reaching the #1 spot on iTunes' inspirational charts in 2012. I also love reading, going off-script with recipes in the kitchen (much to my wife's chagrin), heading to the mountains for a spontaneous family adventure, and wrestling with my kids.

I hold a Bachelor of Theology from Ambrose University and am now pursuing a Masters of Intercultural Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary. I am an ordained minister with the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada.

My wife, Katie, and I and our three kids, Maverick, Avelyn and Iverson, are proud to call Airdrie, Alberta "home."

A few of my favorite things:

  • Paul simon's Graceland album

  • Village's salted caramel ice cream

  • That feeling of cracking open a new book for the first time
